Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA-CPT)
Certified Health Coach (ISSA-CHC)
Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) - currently enrolled
I am currently certified as a personal trainer, health coach and fitness trainer with the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). At current, I am enrolled in the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certified personal trainer program. In addition, I have studied a multitude of breathwork protocols and applications and have completed coursework in the Oxygen Advantage and Wim Hof Method programs.
I have over 35 years experience in weight training and physical fitness and have competed as a powerlifter for the past 20 in the following federations: Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate (RPS), World Natural Powerlifting Federation (WNPF), 100% Raw Federation and the Anti Drug Athletes United (ADAU). My top numbers in competition are as follows: Squat - 525, Bench Press - 390, Deadlift - 550 and total - 1435.
During the summer of 2022, I decided I wanted to get more serious about my health and dialed-in my fitness and nutrition. I dropped in bodyweight from 215 to my current weight of 178-180 over an eight-month period. My current numbers (unofficial) at a bodyweight of 178 in the Masters 2 division are: Squat (485), Bench Press (365) and Deadlift (500).
In addition to competing in powerlifting, I have been an active competitor in grip sport and steel bending for the past decade. My bends in steel bending competition have been ranked in the Top 5 across the United States, across disciplines and weight classes and have included several elite, internationally recognized short and long bar steel bends. In direct competition, I have finished in the Top 3 overall in all five steel bending competitions I have competed in, including events in Detroit, Michigan and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As I have gotten older and continue to push the boundaries of what the human body is capable of, I have begun to incorporate additional strategies of breathwork practice, mindfulness, meditation, stretching, high-intensity interval training, breath holds, cold water immersion and sauna/contrast therapy. Along the way, I have studied the in the areas of biohacking and longevity science extensively and have incorporated several modalities into my current routine. This process has enabled me to study, vet and apply several strategies and techniques in my own practice as well as the ability to tailor these techniques to the general population and one's unique goals.
At this point in my career, I hope to help others reach their highest level of fitness, performance and health, while continuing to push my own boundaries and challenge what people think is possible at varying "advanced" ages. Join me to begin your journey and start on the road to success. There's never been a better time to start than now. Don't let life pass you by. Take your shot and attain greatness!
